The largest of the apartments Le Carrozze was used as a set for Renzo Martinelli's 'Five Moons Plaza' starring Donald Sutherland, Giancarlo Giannini, Greg Wise and F.Murray Abraham. The film crew stayed for more than a fortnight. Donald Sutherland and Giancarlo Giannini particularly enjoyed the meals, prepared by Liliana, a host with exceptional cooking skills. Cooking class is available with Liliana, bookings can be made with her directly during your stay at La Tenuta. There are five apartments which have been carefully and tastefully decorated and furnished with period pieces and antiques. The traditional whitewashed walls offer a contrast to the vibrant, warm colors of Terracotta tiles and wooden fixtures, with a result that is both airy and welcoming. The film crew stayed for more than a fortnight. Donald Sutherland and Giancarlo Giannini particularly enjoyed the meals, prepared by Liliana, a host with exceptional cooking skills. Cooking class is available with Liliana, bookings can be made with her directly during your stay at La Tenuta. There are five apartments which have been carefully and tastefully decorated and furnished with period pieces and antiques. The traditional whitewashed walls offer a contrast to the vibrant, warm colors of Terracotta tiles and wooden fixtures, with a result that is both airy and welcoming. The room was wonderful, spacious and clean.. maybe missing a few household items (dishcloths, napkins etc.) Our suite was next to the workshop/garage so it was a little loud in the mornings when they were staring up the tractors and such. But the views of the vineyards were great and the owners were gracious and very welcoming. Definitely recommend the cooking class with Liliana. Nanny's passion for good wine and food was infectious.
