De biologische en biodynamische boerderij "Le Calle" ligt in het hart van het Montecucco DOC-gebied in Cinigiano, Italië. Het is een werkende boerderij omgeven door velden en wijngaarden, gelegen op een zonnige, verhoogde positie in het landelijk gebied, ongeveer 10 km van het centrum van Cinigiano en 50 km van de zee. De boerderij is een volledig operationeel landbouwbedrijf dat hoogwaardige wijn, olie, pasta, vleeswaren, honing en peulvruchten produceert en huisvest inheemse dierenrassen waaronder het Cinta Senese-varken, het Maremmana-rund, Apennijnse schapen, de Amiatino-ezel en diverse binnenplaatsdieren. De accommodatie bestaat uit 3 appartementen binnen het gebouw.
Buitenruimtes
De buitenruimtes van "Le Calle" zijn ruim en uitnodigend. De gedeelde tuin biedt een rustige plek te midden van het landschap van velden en wijngaarden. Het zwembad meet 6 x 12 meter met een diepte van 120 tot 170 cm, is voorzien van zoutwater en is beschikbaar van 1 mei tot 30 oktober; een douche en WC bevinden zich in de buurt van het zwembad. Een gedeelde hottub staat ter beschikking voor ontspanning. De buitenvoorzieningen omvatten een volleybalveld, een barbecueplaats en een kinderspeelplaats. Wandelpaden beginnen op slechts 20 meter van het huis en nodigen uit tot verkenning van het omliggende landschap.
Praktische informatie
De eigenaren organiseren rondleidingen over de boerderij met een "agribus". Eenmaal per week tijdens juni tot en met augustus wordt een diner aangeboden met producten van de boerderij; deze producten zijn ook verkrijgbaar in de winkel ter plaatse. Een receptie is aanwezig in het gebouw en een wasmachine staat ter beschikking voor gedeeld gebruik. Parkeerplaats ter plaatse is beschikbaar. Wi-Fi is inbegrepen. Bij aankomst ontvangen gasten een gratis product van de boerderij als welkom van de eigenaren. Een auto wordt aanbevolen voor het comfortabel verkennen van het gebied.
Afstanden en bezienswaardigheden
Een supermarkt bevindt zich op 10 km; een boodschappenwinkel ligt op 1 km en een restaurant op 3 km. Een manege is gelegen op 10 km van de boerderij. De historische stad Montalcino ligt op 35 km; de Val d'Orcia en Monte Amiata zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanaf de boerderij. De boerderij "Salustri" ligt in het glooiende landschap van Cinigiano in Italië, op een werkend biologisch landgoed dat bekend staat om de productie van hoogwaardige wijn en olijfolie. Het pand maakt deel uit van een groot werkend bedrijf met 5 individuele huizen, allemaal omgeven door de natuurlijke schoonheid van de omliggende velden en open landschap. De boerderij bevindt zich op een verheven en rustige locatie en biedt een verblijf waarin landbouwerftijd naadloos overgaat in verfijnd comfort. De goed onderhouden tuin vormt een ideale ruimte voor ontspanning en buitenactiviteiten.
Buitenruimtes
Het terras aan de zonnekant en het receptieterras bieden ideale plekken om van de warme Italiaanse zon te genieten. De tuin is voorzien van comfortabel tuinmeubilair voor ontspannende middagen in de open lucht. Het verwarmde binnenzwembad meet 6 x 10 meter met een diepte van 150 cm en is beschikbaar van 1 mei tot 1 november; het zwembadgebied is uitgerust met een apart toilet en douchefaciliteiten. De uitgestrekte gronden rond het pand weerspiegelen het authentieke karakter van een werkende boerderij en bieden een gevoel van ruimte en sereniteit. Galleria di Brolio is an old stone farmhouse whose origins date back to 1800, located between two of the most important towns of the Valdichiana, Castiglion Fiorentino and Foiano, and which is now part of the owners' farm. You will find the farmhouse just a few kilometres from the two towns and in both, as well as various monuments and sites of artistic interest that are definitely worth a visit, you will have shops, restaurants and all kinds of services. The small historic centres of the villages will be a pleasant destination for your aperitifs or dinners at the restaurant.
The farmhouse takes its name from the Galleria di Brolio, a conduit that is still in operation today and is located on the edge of the olive grove. The conduit is part of the canal built between 1932 and 1940 to improve the flow of water towards the Arno, planned by the engineer Vittorio Fossombroni for the reclamation of the valley at the end of the 18th century.
Galleria di Brolio is situated on the edge of a wood of about 20 hectares of oaks and pines used as a hunting reserve for the repopulation of animals; they live here in the utmost freedom and if you love wildlife you will frequently see hares and pheasants running in the olive grove, the vineyard and even in the house lawn.
On the ground floor there is the apartment where the owners live, as well as a cellar and a shed for the farm's agricultural tools, while the first floor is reserved for you. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable, enriched with local antiques, and blend in perfectly with the old features of the house. Not far away, on the other side of the wood, passes the railway line that connects central Italy with the main cities of the peninsula (Florence, Bologna, Rome, Milan), so it will be easy to move around even without a car.
A few metres from the house, surrounded by silver olive trees, you will find a beautiful swimming pool completely fenced and for your exclusive use (size 11x5 m, depth 1.10-1.40 m - open from 01st May to 30th September), together with a gazebo equipped with garden furniture, which will allow you to shelter from the hot summer sun.
There is also a large pergola supplied with wrought iron furniture for eating outside, equipped with a barbecue and a wood-burning oven, for those evenings when you want to enjoy a pizza or a grill “al fresco”.
The owner, on request, will prepare excellent typical Tuscan dinners and pizzas in the wood-fired oven which, we are told by customers who have stayed at the house, are truly delicious.

La Casa di Pino, a small jewel of rural architecture dating back to the year 1200, is located in the heart of the Val di Chio, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and a few kilometers from the town of Castiglion Fiorentino. In our opinion the main feature of Casa di Pino, which makes it perfect for couples and romantic holidays, is the atmosphere that the owners have managed to create in this small space. In addition to the fact that it resembles a nest, the warm colors chosen for the rooms and the furniture itself, give the feeling of being at home, in an intimate and welcoming place.
In the wide garden the beautiful swimming pool (size 4x8 m., depth 1,20-1,50 m. - open from 01st May to 30th September) with Jacuzzi corner, barbecue and wood burning oven next to the gazebo and an equipped porch. A few meters from the house passes a panoramic side road that crosses the hills and connects Castiglion Fiorentino to the town of Cortona and the nearby region of Umbria. A small town of steep, paved alleyways, ancient buildings, stone stairways and arches and mighty walls dominated by the imposing Cassero tower, guarding the valley. Many trattorias and restaurants invite you to go out in the evening and enjoy a dish of fresh, handmade pasta or a famous Florentine steak.
In Castiglion Fiorentino you will also find supermarkets for your daily shopping, other shops and all necessary services. From the house you can easily walk to a restaurant which is just 1 km far.

The farm mainly produces cereals, but around the house you can also enjoy the view of vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. The owners will be happy to let you taste and buy their pure Sangiovese wine, extra virgin olive oil and other products of the farm, proudly handed down from father to daughter.
The house is surrounded by a large, well-kept garden, shaded and filled with flowers and plants. In the relaxation area, furnished with table and chairs, you can comfortably enjoy your meals in the open air. At the back of the house, in a sunny position, there is a swimming pool measuring 4.5x9m, 1.50m deep and completely fenced ( open from 16 May to 30 September) for the safety of your children.

You will find the farmhouse immersed in the Valdichiana countryside and, at the same time, close to the village of Castiglion Fiorentino, which can be easily reached on foot with a walk of about 1.5 km. From the railway station in Castiglion Fiorentino it will be easy to travel by train for day trips to Florence, Rome and other interesting cities in central Italy.
We advise you to immerse yourself in the life of the small village, its shops, bars and restaurants; you will get a glimpse of country life that still harks back to ancient traditions and customs.
The stone walls, wooden and brick ceilings and simple but comfortable furnishings give the apartments a special charm. You will immediately feel at home, welcomed by a warm atmosphere and by Mrs Rita, the owner, who is always ready to assist her guests in times of need.

Agriturismo Le Calle is located in the heart of the Maremma about 9 km from Cinigiano and Paganico, and is the ideal place for those seeking relaxation in the hills, and for those who want their children to have an unforgettable experience in contact with nature and the farm animals, such as sheep, the friendly donkeys from Amiata, the Cinta Senese pigs and the Maremma cows.
The farm consists of about 80 hectares and produces excellent Montecucco D.O.C. wines, extra virgin olive oil, Cinta Senese cold cuts, honey, cereals and legumes, with which the owners Riccardo and Savina will be happy to tempt you.
You can take a dip in the sea with wonderful trips, even daily, to the seaside resorts on the golden Tyrrhenian coast. Castiglione della Pescaia, Marina di Grosseto and Marina di Alberese are about 50 km away and can be reached in just over 30 minutes by car.
The Agriturismo Le Calle is composed of 4 holiday apartments, 3 of which are in the farm centre, (Carola, Olinto and Bandiera) and the CASETTA LE CALLE which is 2 km away, reachable by an unpaved road, not advisable for sports cars. Casetta Le Calle is particularly recommended for those who wish to maintain their privacy, where a breathtaking 360° panorama awaits you around the house. Green and gentle hills, which in every season and in every moment of the day will give you unforgettable images and colours.
Adjacent to the farmhouse, where the owner's house is also located, you will find the swimming pool (size 6x12 m - depth 1,20 - 1,70 m - open from 01st May to 15 October), the laundry room, a bathroom with shower, and the park with children's playground.

During the months of July and August during your stay the owner will organise a trip in an AGRIBUS, a tractor-drawn trailer for transporting people, a modern version of an ox-drawn cart, and will take you around the farm to admire the beautiful landscape of the Maremma. A family experience you won't forget.
After the trip, all participants will be offered a tasting dinner with the farm's products (included in the price for bookings of at least one week), evenings in company and joy shared with other guests and the owner's family that will remain in your fondest memories.
