The Pieve di Sant'Ippolito is a small outbuilding in the heart of the Crete Senesi. You will find it on the outskirts of the village of Asciano, in a panoramic and sunny position. The property is composed of the manor house where the owners' family lives, an annexe and the very ancient Church of "Sant'Ippolito e Cassiano", whose origins date back to the 3rd-4th century AD. Inside the church you can admire a beautiful fresco painted by several renowned artists of the Umbrian school, such as Pinturicchio and Raphael, but erroneously attributed to the Sienese painter Giacomo Pacchiarotti a minor artist of the Sienese school. On 13 August, for the feast of Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, the church will be open to the public and a Holy Mass will be celebrated there. During the rest of the year, being part of private property, the owners allow it to be opened only on rare occasions, while guests of the house will be able to visit it freely.
You will reach the village of Asciano, with shops and services of all kinds, by a pleasant walk of just a few minutes.
All around the house you will find a large, fully fenced garden equipped with children's games, a table tennis table, barbecue and tables and chairs for your outdoor meals. The beautiful round swimming pool (dimensions 13 x 8 m, depth 1.20 - 2.10 m) with water geyser, infinity edge with waterfall and 3-seater whirlpool bath will be at your disposal during the whole year. You will find La Casina del Bosco in an extremely panoramic position, nestled among silver olive trees in the beautiful, green Alpe di Catenaia. The little house is located not far from the mountain pass that joins the two valleys of Casentino and Valtiberina and will allow you easy day trips in both valleys, in search of monasteries and castles and small, ancient villages carved in stone and unknown to most people. The splendid view that you will see every morning from your windows overlooks the surrounding luxuriant woods, thickets of ancient chestnut and oak trees, where wildlife still reigns supreme. All this makes the place extremely peaceful and almost enchanted.
The house is reached by a small unpaved road (approx. 2 km), which we do not recommend taking with sports cars. About 8 km away is Subbiano, an industrious village with supermarkets, restaurants and shops of all kinds, whose origins can be traced back to Roman times. In the small village of Falciano, just 3 km away, there is a typical Tuscan restaurant where you can enjoy pasta, meat and traditional dishes that we are sure you will not easily forget.
18 km away is the ancient city of Arezzo, to which we recommend you dedicate at least one day, strolling through its paved alleys and beautiful squares.
The little house that you will rent is the result of a recent restoration, built with ancient local stone but above all a depository of very distant origins, it was in fact once used by shepherds who stopped there during the transhumance.
For your days of complete relaxation, there is a panoramic swimming pool surrounded by olive trees ( size m. 6 x 2.70, depth m. 1.30 - open from 01st May to 30th September), a hydro-massage tub (5 seats, size m. 2.20 x 2.20 - available with extra charge), a pergola furnished with table and chairs to enjoy your meals in the open air, a barbecue and a fully equipped garden. You will find Villa Scianellone 1.5 km from the town of Torrita di Siena, a characteristic and turreted medieval village. In the village you will find shops, restaurants and services of all kinds. If you like walking, the village can also be reached on foot, and we certainly recommend spending an evening there, for dinner out or for an aperitif in one of its ancient and particular piazzas.
In a few minutes by car you can reach the beautiful villages of Montefollonico (10 km) and Montepulciano (12 km), which are well worth a visit and a stop, where you can taste the typical dishes and above all the prestigious and renowned wines of the area such as the 'Nobile di Montepulciano'.
Villa Scianellone is surrounded by lush, silvery olive groves, vineyards and meadows that are part of the property. All around the villa you will find a large and well-kept garden (about 5,000 m2), where you will find a cool pine forest equipped with games for your children and the beautiful swimming pool (size 5x10 m - depth 1.20 - 1.80 m - open from 01st May to 30th September).

The villa is located at the foot of the first wooded hills, which mark the border between Valdichiana and Valdarno, from here you can make even daily excursions, towards the two valleys, dotted with small villages nestled in the Tuscan countryside. In Monte San Savino, which is just a few kilometres away, it will be pleasant to spend evenings out, dining in typical restaurants or enjoying an aperitif sitting at tables in the colourful cobbled streets.
From the windows of the villa you can admire the imposing Castello di Civitella with its characteristic 'Torre Spaccata'. We absolutely recommend a visit to this small village, a real jewel of the Valdichiana, with its ancient cistern, panoramic square and medieval buildings.
La Quiete, in our opinion, is perfectly suited for your holidays with children, or in the company of large groups of friends. Around the house you will find a large green area equipped with outdoor furniture, barbecue, table tennis, table football, children's games, volleyball court and five-a-side football pitch. Don't forget to dine in one of the countless restaurants and trattorias in the historic centre; our advice is definitely local red wine and a nice Tagliata of Chianina beef!
Until a few years ago the house was the heart of a large farm, then a recent and careful renovation, which the owners carried out with love and care to keep the old features of the villa unaltered, transformed it into a cosy holiday home.
Still next to the house you will find the wine cellar where the owner produces excellent wine (Vino DOC Cortona), which you can taste for free during your holiday.

Casa La Primula is a farmhouse situated on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in an extremely panoramic position with an evocative view of Pierle Castle, an ancient fortress of feudal origin, which makes it as if suspended in time. It takes a little effort to get up here, the 2.5 km road is almost all unpaved and very steep (not recommended for sports cars), but once on spot you will be rewarded with true peace in the middle of nature and above all with an exceptional view. When you want to emerge from your refuge, about 5 km away you will find the villages of Mercatale, in Tuscany, and Lisciano Niccone, in Umbria. We recommend a day trip to the characteristic Cortona, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
In the gazebo in the garden you can dine in front of the sunset; for your barbecues or pizzas in company there are also a barbecue and a wood-burning oven. The fence makes the house ideal for a holiday with your four-legged friends (extra charge could be required). For both of you there is plenty of space in the green and the possibility, for those who love trekking, of long walks along the numerous paths in the woods.
