Villa Lu is een fijne stenen woning (500 m2) met privé zwembad en WiFi internet. De woning is comfortabel geschikt voor max. tien personen in vijf slaapkamers en drie badkamers. Villa Lu is 9 km gelegen van Pesaro (Italië), en slechts 34 km van Urbino. Beleef de Italiaanse kust, het is slechts een korte afstand naar zee vanaf de accommodatie (3 km).

Wat Staat U Te Wachten
Bij aankomst vindt u een prachtige, schone en goed onderhouden woning met uitzicht over de bergen en de heuvels perfect voor een geweldige vakantie in Marche. Na een drukke dag musea bezoeken kunt u de tijd doorbrengen met vrienden en familie bij het zwembad, en genieten van een glaasje wijn - een perfecte manier om te uitrusten aan het einde van de dag. Buiten zijn er ook een barbecue en patio. Als u van koken houdt is er een goed uitgeruste keuken met o.a. koffiezetapparaat, magnetron oven, broodrooster, fornuis en ijskast en natuurlijk voldoende servies en bestek voor tot tien personen. Als u liever buiten eet is er een veranda met tuinmebilair waar u van het weer kan genieten terwijl u buiten eet.

RESTAURANTS
Marche is centrally located on the eastern Italian coast, nestling between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The region is characterised by a rugged, mountainous inland and a beach-lined coast, dotted with quaint seaside towns. These variations in the region’s geography are also reflected in its food; seafood is popular, along with rural delicacies such as wild funghi, game, nuts and herbs and the region’s treasured truffles. Coniglio in porchetta, rabbit stuffed with wild fennel is a revered regional speciality, and traditional porchetta made with suckling pig and stuffed into rolls is a popular street food.

THE SCENT OF THE GRAPE HARVEST
Especially in the first part of autumn, the scents of the grape harvest invade the Marche hills. With must they make the typical, soft donuts that you can find in many local bakeries, must biscuits, perfect to be served with “vino cotto” (literally “cooked wine”) and “sughetti” (a kind of polenta made of must, corn flour and walnuts). When the must is cooked for a long time, sapa is produced: it is a sweet and sticky ingredient perfect for seasoning polenta and making cavallucci (a typical local biscuit). In Montecassiano the festival of sughitti is held during the last week of September. The oldest Sagra dell’Uva (wine festival) in Italy is held in Cupramontana at the beginning of October: it’s a festival with food, music, dances and, of course, Sir Wine.
OLIVE HARVEST & OLIVE OIL
One of the most magical moments in Marche, and in Italy in general, happens at the end of October / beginning of November: this is the month of the olive harvest, when you will see many people working around the olive trees to pick the precious fruit. Do not hesitate: the new oil, with its intense green color, is immediately ready to be tasted and purchased. If you have friends who have a farmhouse in the countryside with olive grove, ask them to invite you for the harvest: it will be a beautiful moment to share with your friends and then you can bring the olives to the mill and attend to the production of your own olive oil.
THE FOLIAGE OF CANFAITO BEECH FOREST
If you want to make an experience of colours, then you can’t miss the Canfaito beech forest: every year you can enjoy the same and always different show of the beech leaves changing colours. You’ll feel like under a golden dome made of yellow, orange and red leaves. Just enjoy a relaxing walk under the beech trees and don’t forget to stop by Elcito, a tiny untouched village, where you can breathe an atmosphere of old times, when shepherds woke up at dawn, spent the whole day out with their animals, longing to go back home and find some warmth in front of the fireplace with their families.
MEDIOEVAL VILLAGES
Visiting the numerous Medieval villages spotted all around Marche may be quite a challenge under the August sun, but doing it in Autumn, when the air is still warm and sun lights up the stones that make up the town walls, has a totally different appeal. Stroll through the narrow streets of the Marchigiano towns, where a beautiful panorama awaits you at every corner. Difficult to recommend a village: just switch off your satellite navigator, follow a less traveled road and certainly you will find a quiet and nice village waiting to welcome you.
CHESTNUT FESTIVAL
The good and sweet smell of roasted chestnuts is one of the nicest in autumn. You can go yourself to look for chestunts and then cook them at your place or, if you are not sporty enough, there are many chestnut festivals in October, especially in the Sibillini area, where people roast chestunts along the roads and you can buy a cone. The most famous chestnut festivals in Marche are in Smerillo and Montemonaco. Smerillo is particularly famous also for being one of the balconies of Marche: thanks to its elevated position, you can admire wide open views, stretching from the Sibillini mountains to the sea, passing through the rolling hills and medieval villages.
TRUFFEL
Autumn also offers another delicious, sought-after and highly appreciated product: truffles. Two are the most important events in Marche dedicated to truffles: the National Fair of White Truffle in Acqualagna and Diamanti a Tavola in Amandola, dedicated to the precious white truffles of the Sibillini. The most famous chestnut festivals in Marche are in Smerillo and Montemonaco. Smerillo is particularly famous also for being one of the balconies of Marche: thanks to its elevated position, you can admire wide open views, stretching from the Sibillini mountains to the sea, passing through the rolling hills and medieval villages.
THE CONERO AREA IN PEACE
Ok the temperature is not suitable for a swim but the Conero without the crowds of summer allows you to make many experiences, from cycling to walking (we especially recommend two trips: the viewpoint up to Passo del Lupo, and that from the Belvedere) as well as visiting the villages of Sirolo and Numana.

Traveling in the Marche
AIRPORTS
The main transport hub of the Marche is the Adriatic port city of Ancona. International flights serve the Marche airport just northwest of the city, while ferries sail to and from destinations in Greece, Croatia and Albania.
PRIVATE CAR
You have to be a good driver in the Marche; the streets are narrow and often steep. Fly to Ancona and rent a car. For speed, take the A14, which connects the entire region along its 111 miles of coastline, from Pesaro in the north to Ascoli Piceno in the south. For pleasure, drive along the state roads through the splendid landscapes of the Marche.
TRAINS

Het rustigere resort Gabicce biedt u de mogelijkheid om te zonnebaden op het geweldige San Bartolo strand. Daag uzelf uit en spring de fiets op voor een tocht door de bergen van het Monte San Bartolo natuurpark, met oogverblindende uitzichten op de Adriatische Zee.
Begin je exploratie van de stad San Marino aan het Publieke Paleis in Gothische stijl van waar het hele land wordt bestuurd. Het kijkt uit op Het Plein van de Vrijheid dat altijd een drukke sociale hub is waar mensen elkaar ontmoeten voor koffie, eten, business en handel.
Ga later eens rondwandelen om het magnifieke Titano Theater te zien dat geconstrueerd werd in 1777 en regelmatig betoverende opera's en klassieke muziekopvoeringen vertoont. Vele prachtige religieuze gebouwen zijn verspreid over San Marino zoals de Basiliek van San Marino dat enkele intrigerende religieuze schatten huist die het waard zijn om te zien.
Dit jaar hebben er veel verschillende evenementen en tentoonstellingen in heel Italië plaatsgevonden, waarin het leven en werk van Da Vinci centraal stond. Met 2020 in het verschiet, staat er nog een groots jubileumjaar op ons te wachten, het 500-jarig jubileum van de dood van Rafaël, en daarmee een andere reeks evenementen en tentoonstellingen in Italiaanse musea en andere kunstinstellingen over de hele wereld.
In tegenstelling tot Da Vinci, of Michelangelo, leefde deze geweldige kunstenaar van de Renaissance slechts tot in zijn late jaren dertig, in tegenstelling tot zijn twee grote leeftijdsgenoten die de tachtig haalden. Tegenwoordig is hij niet zo bekend als die andere twee grote kunstenaars, maar hij was niet minder geliefd in zijn tijd en hoewel zijn leven korter was, was hij ongelooflijk productief en liet hij een indrukwekkend oeuvre van beeldende kunst achter.
Bezoek het grandioze stadje Urbino in De Marken, waar een grote erfenis van Renaissance architectuur en cultuur aanwezig is! Deze oude, ommuurde nederzetting ontwikkelde zich tot een belangrijke plaats op artistiek gebied onder de leiding van Federico de Montefeltro, die graaf van Urbino was van 1444 tot 1482. Hij was ook een belangrijke sponsor van het plaatsje. Urbino is vooral bekend om het glorieuze Ducale paleis, een meesterwerk uit de 15e eeuw, gebouwd in opdracht van de rijke graaf. In dit betoverende gebouw vinden we een van de meest uitgebreide collecties schilderijen uit de Renaissance ter wereld!
Een van onze favoriete regio's van Italië om aan te bevelen aan toeristen is de weelderige en mooie Le Marche regio. Met een lange kustlijn vol grote badplaatsen en geweldige stranden, deze regio staat bij Italiaanse toeristen bekend als een perfecte plek om tijdens de heetste maanden van het jaar te ontsnappen uit de drukke steden. Een bezoek in juli of augustus betekent dus dat je wordt omringd door massa's Italianen op zomervakantie. Internationale toeristen daarentegen zoeken dit opmerkelijke deel van het land veel minder vaak op en velen hebben er nog nooit van gehoord. Maar er zijn eindeloos veel redenen om het te kiezen voor je volgende vakantie. Onvoorstelbaar groen, vol met mooie dorpjes, met veel fantastische stranden om uit te kiezen, en doordrenkt van geschiedenis en cultuur, een vakantiewoning in Le Marche betekent het ontdekken van een deel van het land dat geliefd is bij de plaatselijke bevolking en dat vele eigenschappen waar andere regio's beroemd om zijn perfect combineert. Velen omschrijven het zelfs als heel Italië gevangen in één regio.
