Leaving the provincial road, a typical country road, lined with cypresses, vineyards, olive groves, wheat fields and woods, will lead you to Caselsa. Behind you will be San Gimignano and its towers, unique and world famous. To the side you will see the medieval village of Certaldo Alto, home of Boccaccio, also known for its Della Robbia ceramics.
The geographical position of Caselsa will allow you to reach in less than an hour, either by train or by car, the major art cities of Tuscany: Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca and Pisa.
The name "Caselsa" derives from the river Elsa that flows through the valley, and in ancient times the structure was the last house to the north of a large farm that initially consisted of only the 'Tower' built specifically to detect the approach of strangers.
Today's apartments, 5 in total, are equipped with the most modern comforts while maintaining the atmosphere that only such ancient farmhouses can offer. The solarium and the large swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m) open up to a boundless view of vineyards and olive groves. From here you can enjoy at any time of the day, from dawn to dusk, the famous Chianti landscapes. The garden is completely fenced.
Each apartment has an outdoor area equipped with a table and chairs for your outdoor dinners and evenings. Furthermore, on request, a chef can prepare typical Tuscan dinners or lunches for you to enjoy directly in your apartments.
