Zeer Goed 4 /5Well appointed accommodation for a self-catering break. The house is situated almost equidistantly between two railway stations on the cheap and frequent Circumvesuviana suburban rail network which makes for easy access to Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei, Herculaneum and Sorrento. However, both stations are a 40-minute walk from the house so, if not taking a car, this needs to be borne in mind. Buses are all but non-existent. The on-site owners are friendly and obliging but speak no English so are unable to offer much in the way of local knowledge. There are shops, cafes and a good supermarket just a few minutes walk away. Be aware, also, that the apartments form part of the owners' home and the courtyard/terrace is communal and thus affords no privacy. All things considered, a nice place to stay away from the more overtly 'touristy' areas providing easy access to the sites while also providing a view of ordinary, everyday life in Campania.
